4000 MCINTYRE GLOBAL SAFETY ALLIGATOR SHEAR

The McIntyre 4000 Alligator Shear is more than just a scrap yard shear, the 4000 is the preferred choice of UK Local Authorities for general cutting applications and the Police Force for Weapons Destruction. All moving parts are totally enclosed to improve operator safety, whilst still maintaining the high performance expected from Vortex equipment.

STRONGLY GUARDED

Although every JMC shear is designed with operator safety in mind, the Global safety shear range goes one step further. A strong metal case encloses moving parts and a rugged guard protects the operator from the blades. Guards have perplex viewing points to improve visibility and further enhance safety.

The Global 5000 and 6000 units are equipped with an automatic hold down clamp which holds material in place during cutting and prevents kick back. As an additional safety option, machines can be fitted with strong rubber curtains which shield the operator from flying material, particularly important if the metal being cut is quite brittle.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

Emphasis on safety does not compromise the performance of the Global shear range. Shear forces vary from 90 up to 120 tons giving cutting capacities of up to 63mm (2.5") mild steel.
